Nora serves as a liaison to university and employer stakeholders, providing resources for the globally recognized professional qualification Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with universities and elevating awareness of the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. Before her role at AICPA & CIMA, Nora worked as Assistant Dean of Professional Studies at Nichols College in Massachusetts. She received her Master’s in Organisational Leadership from Nichols College.

Barry Payne serves as a liaison to CFOs and finance leaders to understand how finance teams are evolving and explore the skills, competencies and mindsets that are emerging and important. He works to elevate and accelerate the value of CPAs and CGMA designations in the Americas. A UK national, Barry is a UK Chartered Accountant and graduate of University of London. He lives with his wife Emma in Chapel Hill, NC.

Paul is responsible for Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Enterprise Project Management, Procurement, Digital Banking and Strategic Planning atLiberty Bank of Middletown, CT, the oldest and largest independent mutual bank in the U.S.

He has over 25 years of diversified financial services experience and before joining Liberty Bank, was the CFO for Citizens Bank’s Consumer Deposits, Business Banking and Citizens Access lines of business. Paul received a B.S. in Accounting from Bloomfield College, completed the Duke University — Fuqua School of Business Advanced Management Program, and earned his MBA from Temple University — Fox School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant® designation holder and has served as a member of the Business & Industry Executive Committee (BIEC) and the Americas Regional Advisory Panel (AMRAP) of the AICPA®. Paul is a member of the Future of Finance Leadership Advisory Group (FFLAG) and was recently appointed as an At-Large Member of the AICPA Council.

Julie Wasserman

Julie also acts as the Management Sponsor for Aon’s Chicago-based Finance Leadership Program. In her role as Senior Manager, she oversees all aspects of financial planning and analysis for a portion of Aon’s U.S. Commercial Risk business, partnering with business leaders across the organization to drive operational and financial excellence. In her role as Management Sponsor, she supports both the full-time and internship finance rotational programs to help drive forward, develop and enhance FLP program goals and key initiatives. Most recently, she has led Aon’s implementation efforts for the AICPA Professional Apprenticeship for Finance Business Partners program.

Julie is a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois with a Master’s degree in Accounting. Julie currently lives in Chicago, IL, with her husband David. One of her favorite hobbies is to travel, with a trip to Italy this fall.
